I was able to follow an online tutorial on YT today to work out how to make a HOO image.

I am using on my modified Canon 600D and Z61 an Optolong L-eNhance filter. And I wanted to find out how you go about extracting the Ha and OIII data. Thanks to ASTRONONICO on YT I was able to re-work my image of the nebulae IC 405-IC410 nebulae complex that is visible in Auriga.

This process is from 2hrs of data captured on 2021 01 06 with added darks but no flats or bias. I have done all the work in APP with noise reduction using Astronomy Tools and Astro Flat Pro in Adobe CC.

I am very happy with this result. You can't see any blue but you can see how the Red of the HA stands out together with the lovely star colors.

Nice signal! Glad you're enjoying APP. Be careful with noise reduction tools btw, easy to overdo. 🙂
