Fireworks Galaxy NGC6946

Managed to get a good 4 hours in this beautiful galaxy in Cygnus with the ASI1600MM and 50cm F/4 Newton - the new multi-channel processing workflow helped beautifully in reducing the work required - 3x42x120s light frames and a bunch of darks, flats and flatdarks so some 250 total frames involved, just a few button pushes to process (well, and a whole lot of clicking for the light pollution correction... 🙂

Excellent detail and beautiful colors. Did you perform the star color calibration in APP as well ?

Yes, I did - I love how easy this is now and how well it works - both for this shot and an M57 I did a couple of days earlier:

M57-LRGB-72min-LRGB
