Apr 9 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 has been released !
It has a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration, for mosaics even faster! We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. Improved Outlier Rejection with LN 2.0 rejection. macOS CMD+A works now in file chooser ! And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming hours...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
I am unable to launch APP v1.083, 2B9 or 2B13 unless I have freshly restarted my computer. Any ideas?
What computer and OS are you using?
Sorry, I didn't see your question. Still having this issue with Beta 17.
Intel I7-12600KF, 64gb Ram, NVidia 980ti, Windows 10 22H2 (was also an issue with 21H2)
When I launch any version of APP after having put my computer to sleep at any point and waking it I get an OpenJDK Platform Binary that maxes a single core and sits there at 100%. Sometimes APP will launch after 15-20 minutes but usually it won't and I just restart.

Thanks.
That is a strange one, I've forwarded this to Mabula. Sounds like a system issue somehow.
This must be some configuration issue for java in general on your computer I think. I use APP on multiple windows (2x Windows 10, 1x Windows 11) systems with sleep mode and have never experienced your issue when starting APP.
I suggest that you check the windows environment variables for some java options. To be clear, any java options in the windows environment are best removed unless you know exactly what your doing in terms of developing java applications for instance.
