Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hello,
Upon completing the stack APP loads this image into the viewer. Even if I select another image and then reselect the one in question.
When I open the Fits file in Pixinsight it displays correctly. The main issue is that I can't use the tools for background calibration etc.Â
Just so you know,
Andy

Could you test this with beta 6 that we have available now? See the top of the forum, if it still doesn't work I may ask you for some of your data to check.
Thanks for testing. Would you mind uploading a few of these files for us to check? Maybe also some lights and calibration masters so we can see what might be the issue.
Hi,
UPDATE - Today I tried the same data and did NOT drizzle. The final stack displayed correctly.
Just so you know!

Thanks for the update! Sorry, didn't have time yet to analyze but will do so today, so drizzling may have been the problem here. Did you have data that is undersampled and did you dither well during capturing the data?
Hi Andy @andynowlen,
That weird image display is in fact an OpenGL issue... If you turn of OpenGL with the top left OpenGL button, the image will display correctly 😉
The reason for the OpenGL issue, will likely be a bad OpenGL graphical driver installed on your computer, so try to update your graphical driver using a driver from the hardware manufacturer of your graphical chip (so don't !!! use a microsoft driver for an intel graphical chip for instance).
