Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi Mabula/all
Downloaded Beta 7 yesterday, all worked well apart from trying to mosaic two stacked panels. I enabled same camera/optics, tried with and without dynamic distortion correction, MBB set to 8 % but still getting this weird circular distortion (Black hole like 😉 ) in the centre of each pane. its not on the individual stacked panes so it is something being done in the mosaic integration. Any ideas ???
I had some great success creating such vortexes, almost reminding me of calabi-yau like manifolds ...
I varied paramters in 4, register, pattern, triangles or pentagons maybe?, scale start and stop, calibrated projej, equitangular, also with changing reference frames. thenm it worked (with a bigger mosaik, also an option).
it was strange and I did not know why it worked in the end.
Hi,
Have you tried without enabling same camera/optics ?
David
Thank you David, yes I tried it this morning and it did indeed fix it 😊. No idea why though as it was data taken with same optics and even same session, I’ve never disabled this before 🤷♂️
Russ
Great!
For mosaic registration, same camera/optics have to be unchecked. But for regular frame integration it's better to enable it.
David
@russ-telfer Yes, for mosaics the same camera/optics has to be switched off. This is a bit of a technical view of "camera" as basically a mosaic is having a different Field Of View etc then a regular image.
