May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Hi,
I have a question regarding point 2) calibration.
I'm currently experimenting with darks, different temperatures, with / without scale, different numbers, etc., and every time I load new / different dark files under 1) and delete the previous MasterDark.
If I now click on Intigrate at 6), APP doesn't start with 2) Kalibraition but with 3) Analysis Stars, I always have to create the MasterDarks myself and then choose Integration.
Is that wanted or does APP not notice that I have changed something in the calibration pictures?
thank you

Hi, my personal experience is that if your subs have calibration data ascribed to them from a previous calibration (as yours will) APP will go straight to Analyse Stars. You will have to force a recal once your revised calibration files are loaded. Hope this helps. Good luck with your trial.

Try clicking "(Re-)assign Master to Lights" in the 2) CALIBRATE tab first.

@ ChrisPeace and RalphSnel,

I delete the master files under 1) Load and also delete the assignment under 2) Calibrate but APP still starts with Star Analysis.
Have already tried to have the master files calculated and smelled at 1-2% and then under 6) to have everything done automatically, but that doesn't work either. So I have to start the new master file calculation by hand and I can then run the rest at 6) automatishc.
A bit cumbersome but I guess Mabula did not think about the programming of experimenters like me 😉
Since I have a DSLR without cooling, I wanted to know how much different temperatures of the darks have an effect ... so with the calibration function (?) Of the master files there is hardly any visual difference. I have no idea if my experiments are so meaningful.
