Apr 29 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta42 has been released !
New improved Normalization engine, Fixed random crashes in integration, fixed RGB Combine & Calibrate Star Colors, fixed Narrowband extraction algorithms, new development platform with performance gains, bug fixes in the tools, etc...

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
I am receiving lots of different error messages and I'm kinda done. I'll start posting these messages here.Â
APP used to automatically downscale and image that was too large. Now, apparently it does not.Â
So, for my multipanel mosaics, apparently I can no longer use APP, unless there is a work around.
Hi @sj_chavez,
Thank you very much for posting your issue here. First of all, I am implementing a lot of improvements for mosaics for the next version 2.0.0-beta39, please check the release notes: https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/release-information/astro-pixel-processor-2-0-0-beta39-release-notes-work-in-progress/#post-33139
The error that you have is a downscale of a factor of 0.0x. That means that the result has become infinite, so something really goes wrong with registering your data here. That is very clear. I also see that your star counts are very high. Using high star counts can actually create issues. It is safer and more stable to use 1000-2500 stars and try again if you haven't done so already.
If you are making a wide field mosaic with a very large field of view, you must use calibrated projective model. Is this the case?
Since I am working full-time at the moment on improving the mosaics, it is great time for uploading your data to our server, so I can test it and make sure it works in the next APP 2.0.0-beta39.
Can you upload the dataset on which this happens here:
https://upload.astropixelprocessor.com/
username: uploadData
password: uploadTestData
Please make a folder with your name and issue like: sjChavez-mosaic-errors
and upload your data there and let me know once done, thanks !
Mabula
