May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

due to a computer crash (windows 11),  I had to install APP new and I used the latest update. However, this was in my hands not functioning, with several windows mixing up etc. Therefore, I went  back to the last stable  1.83 version. However, this changed the analytical graph completely and I see for me a disadvantage. I am very dissapointed that I cannot delete frames within this graph. Will you keep this garph in the future?

Greetings Peter

Hi Peter @peternb,

Thank you very much for posting your issue on our forum.

I think that the issue that you face is that both APP 1.083 and APP 2.0.0betaxx are installed at the same time on your computer. Are they?

We know that the windows registry creates very weird problems like this if you install both the old 1.083 version and one of the newer beta versions.

To solve this, you first need to uninstall all APP versions that are installed. So install APP using windows Remove programs/applications from the control panel. Then double check if another version is still installed, maybe you still see a reference to Astro Pixel Processor when you open the windows Start menu? That APP installation needs to be removed manually then.

After having cleaned the APP installations, you can safely install APP 2.0.0beta36 and this should work perfectly on Windows 11. 2.0.0-beta36 is much better and faster than 1.083 and soon we will stop support for that old version as well once APP 2.0 is officially released.

Of course, the graph will be kept and will be further improved going forward as well.

Please let me know if this solves your issue or if you need more assistance.

Hello Manula, thank you for your repons.

My windows 11 was installed some days ago and working fine with all my programms including Pixinsight. It is a not too old computer (AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics 3.90 GHz, 32 GB RAM). I just  deleted the only installed APP version 1.083, as I mentioned,  and downloaded now again the "latest release Windows 64bit version" as found on top of your download list.

So fine, so good. I just made a first test, loading up LRGB frames from M 13, which were stacked successfully yesterday with the 1.083 version. After entering all frames and Masterflats etc and klicking on "intergrade" the version crashed immediately without showing tje awaited input field for the file name for the stacks. As I now remember , that happend also the last time trying this version. Last time with this version, I reentered all files again and then it began running but the windows were mixed up.

My facit is that this version is not stable in my hands, whatsover.

I now loaded Version 2.00 beta9 (04.Jan 2023) and this stated, using the same files, correctly. I will see what comes out.

Greetings Peter

Hi Peter @peternb,

I am not sure what is happening on your computer but it does sound like a problem with different APP versions being installed at the same time somehow. If you remove APP from the computer, please double check the installation paths, maybe some version is still there although you think it is not.

Double check these paths please:

C:\Program Files\AstroPixelProcessor

and

C:\Users\[your windows username]\AppData\Local\astropixelprocessor

and

C:\Users\[your windows username]\AppData\Local\Programs\AstroPixelProcessor

Make sure that all locations are empty, if not, clean them manually. The AppData folder is a hidden folder, so you need have the windows explorer show hidden files, than you can see and enter these folders.

Also remove any reference in the start menu to Astro Pixel Processor and Aries Productions.

Once everything is clean, please try installing 2.0.0-beta36 again. When it is installed, please click on the LICENSE & SETTINGS button, and at the bottom, simply reset all settings and menus. Is everything working fine then?

On our test systems with windows 10 and 11, all is stable and better with beta36 compared to the older versions.
