Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi - don't know if somebody ever came across that issue, but I have suddenly problems when trying to save integration files to TIFF. The following message pops up:
Encountered error in module:
TiffImageSaver
Error message:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: output == null!
Cause:
output == null!
it.geosolutions.imageioimpl.plugins.tiff.TIFFImageWriter.write(TIFFImageWriter.java:2654)
it.geosolutions.imageioimpl.plugins.tiff.TIFFImageWriter.write(TIFFImageWriter.java:2614)
javax.imageio.ImageWriter.write(ImageWriter.java:597)
oW.a(Unknown Source)
Could be I am doing something stupid, but I never had problems with this before, so I am scratching my head a bit. Anyone already had the issue?
Thanks
Adrien
Mmm, is the directory you're saving to able to be written to? No sudden change in permissions?
I tried the same, gets stuck at 35% completed, even if I change the directory to something different, although this one always worked. It dosen't work, scratching my head too.
Any ways to fix this? As I can't save my images as TIFFS
So the only thing you’re trying to do is to save an integrated, stretched image to TIFF? I’ll test this out shortly, just to see if this is a general issue.
Yes, it's an integrated, stretched image.
Hi- run into the exact same problem today. Have you been able to solve this problem? What should i do?
Thanks
Stefan
I haven't been able to resproduce this no. Would you mind uploading the image you want to save as a TIFF to us?
