May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !
Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.
Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
What is the default droplet size? Am I correct in thinking 1.0 droplet and 1.0 scale would be a straight stack (no change in size)? What happens if I change the droplet, but use "interpolate"?
Also, I seem to be getting some errors with the new version, although it could be my data. Attached is a screenshot of one error. Another: I had the droplet and size set to 1.0 and the output was larger than the program could handle (said it would downsize by .008%, then ran out of memory). The subs came from a Canon 450d.
More of an FYI: I tried using the background calibration on a mono image, got the understandable notice that it only works on color, but the program then locked up.
Ah yes, this will be improved upon in a later version, but normalization errors usually pop up when you try to have mono and color data processed in 1 go. Normalization is not possible between 3-channel and 1-channel data, but we want this not to result in a generic error, so that will become easier.
As for the droplet size, I have too little knowledge to assist there. I’ll tag Mabula if he has time for that one: @mabula-admin
