Had my Nikon D810 H-alpha modified by life pixel and the attached image comes into APP with really bad banding. Other processing software does not do this. Any explanation as to why this is happening?

Are you using an external drive by any chance as the working directory?

@vincent-mod I am not. From local C: drive. They are raw NEF files.

Mmm, one final test, what happens when you click on the OpenGL button on top of APP's window? If that doesn't solve this, I'll ask for your data. If that does solve it, there may be an issue with OpenGL and your graphics driver.

- Vincent, thanks for that tip it did indeed clear things up. Using AMD processor so I downloaded all the latest drivers and it seems to be working fine no more banding on initial file load. Thanks again.
