Hello to all, I am trying to process my calibrated subs with App 1.075-beta6 and fail due to STAR ANALYSIS FAILED error..

Not sure what I should provide ?

Dear Martin @artem,

Have you checked how the calibrated frames actually look? Do they look okay?

What happens in the console panel (the separate window with more bacgkround information) ?

Why do the frames have cal-ch1 as extension? Did you calibrate OSC/Color data and did you separate the channels for some reason?

What are you trying to do that needs you to separate the channels? If it's actually monochrome data shot with an OSC camera, then why not use the special debayer algorithms on your original OSC data? (Like H-alpha debayer in 0) Raw/FITS)

Off course, we want to have a look at your data if that is possible.

Good morning, actually I am trying to process the data from the filter L-ENHANCE from OPTOLONG and am trying to split the Ha and O3 data or channels. 

I will send you the data this evening..

Hi Martin @artem,

Thank you for uploading the data.

I have had a look and I find no problem with your data (except for guiding/tracking issues), but I think I know why it does not work for you yet 😉

in 0) RAW/FITS, you will need to tell APP that this is Bayer CFA data, please enable force CFA and set the bayer pattern to RGGB. The capture software unfortunaly has not stored this information in the FITS header, so there is no way for APP to know that it's color data. You need to tell APP this with the Force CFA setting.

Then all will work 😉

For processing your data with the L-ENHANCE filter, you don't need to separate the channels yourself, that is really not advised. APP has special debayer algorithms for this in 0) RAW/FITS: these are the Bayer CFA algortihms that start with Ha-OIII, there are 4 different algortihms giving you different results on your data. If you use the Ha-OIII extract Ha algortihm, APP will show you the monochrome Ha data, so you don't need to split it. Please see the screenshots:

Thank you, I am looking at your data right now.

So the sensor is a Bayer CFA sensor, right and I think the right pattern is GRBG. Have you set this in 0) RAW/FITS together with enabling FORCE CFA to tell APP that it is Bayer CFA data?

Then I assume that you captured H-alpha data with this camera?

Have you tried in 0) the H-alpha debayer algortihm?

This is how it looks when you load an image with that algorithm:

Whatever I do, I don't get your error in the beta6. I can even integrate the frames without any issue:

Since you uploaded no calibration frames, the question now is, did you use calibration frames and if so, please have a good look at them. Chances are that the calibration is not correct. Off course, please upload it if you have calibration data and I will have another look.

Good morning Mabula , 

thank you so much for your help , i will have a look and let you know..

Yes i used a Ha filter , and Yes i loaded calibration frames (flats,dark's,dark flats and bias)

No i didn't do the debayer.

I wish i was so expert like you with the software 😀 

Which calibration data you like , the Master's ?

I have been playing around and I think my Flats are totally wrong , let me do some more tests and I will let you know , so I don't waste your time...
