Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I'm fairly new to the astrophotography and processing, so there is a lot of trial and error.

My question is, Are there any guides to explain when I should try different setting other than the default ones. Example, under Integrate, when should I try "median" instead of  average? No rejection vs sigma clip?

I know these are probably pretty basic questions, but any insight would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance for any insight,

Quentin

No these are good questions. At the moment we don't have a very good manual in writing, but on top of the site you can have a go at the video's and follow those to learn about the workflows. Also, when you hover over various items, tooltips will give you some information and suggestions as well. And ofcourse, you can ask anything overhere as well.
