Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Hi,

suddenly, APP (1.083 Beta or 1.082) Crashs on opening of any .fit File with the viewer. That wasn't the case before. Processing generally seam to work.

Operating System Catalina 10.15.7/on a Mac Mini late 2012 (yes, that old, and still running like a charm!)

Take care

Heinrich

Hi @heinrichbecker,

Thank you very much for reporting this issue.

I have strong reason to suspect that the issue is caused by the latest MacOS Catalina security update unfortunately. Maybe there is a bug in there? Can you rollback?

A possible solution is: can you disable OpenGL by clicking on the top left OpenGL button, it is disabled when it says CPU 😉 Can you let us know if then the crash no longer happens? If it works okay then, it means that OpenGL no longer works with that update...

Hi Heirich, @heinrichbecker

So then the conclusion is that the update really has a problem with OpenGL unfortunately. I need to check if it is a bug in the MacOS security update or if they prohibit OpenGL all of a sudden...
