Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
I recently bought an owners licence and the program asks me to enter the details including the code almost every time I start the program. It also appears to think I am using multiple computers, however I have only installed and run it on one computer. My computer is running windows 11 but it seems to think I also have a windows 10 computer.
Interesting, never seen this before like this. I'll forward it to Mabula and thanks for reporting!

Hi @ronroper1601,
Windows 11 in fact was still reporting it was windows 10 earlier, maybe with an update of windows 11 it is now fixed. So this is due to windows 11 and not APP code.
With regard to having to re-activate your license, I can only assume that you are installing APP not correctly somehow. How do you install APP?
After installation, is there an APP license file in your Operating System user directory?

@ronroper1601 you should avoid to show your license codes to all people. someone could use it...
Hi @mabula-admin, thank you to you and others who replied to my question. I am not sure what happened during installation but I just did what I thought was a normal install. However I have now noticed a couple of odd things. There are 2 APP shortcuts on my desktop, each has a different starting location.
Shortcut 1: Target: C:\Users\ronro\AppData\Local\Programs\astropixelprocessor\astropixelprocessor.exe
Shortcut 1: Start in: C:\Users\ronro\AppData\Local\Programs\astropixelprocessor
Shortcut 2: Target: C:\Users\ronro\AppData\Local\AstroPixelProcessor\AstroPixelProcessor.exe
Shortcut 2: Start in: C:\Users\ronro\AppData\Local\AstroPixelProcessor
The shortcut 1 seems to operate correctly while shortcut 2 produces the licence issues described previously.
I think shortcut 2 may have been created in March 2022 when I tried APP as a trial version. I had forgotten that I had already installed it, so reinstalled recently when I purchased the licence.
I assume I could just delete Shortcut 2 and the associated files for that path. I checked in Settings/ installed apps and there is only one instance of APP showing and it is v2.0.0 beta 9 so I will not uninstall anything from there.
I do have a APP-License.lic file in my user directory dated 17/01/2023.
Many thanks
Ron
Hi Ron @ronroper1601,
Yes, the shortcut 1 is the APP 2.0.0 version, whereas the shortcut 2 is 1.083 probably which has a bug even with computer identification for license management, so that really explains it.
Indeed, simply remove shortcut 2 and the shortcut 2 target and all will be okay !
