Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Ciao,

here is my first shoot with a DSRL without eq mount (during holidays you have to balance between the number of the suitcases that your wife want to carry and your equipment ... :-|)

The first one is the MilkyWay (EOS 80D - Tokina 11-20 F2.8 (IF) DX - F2,8 E6s I3600 - 34 Lights and 30 Darks)

MilkyWay lpc cbg St result

Strange artefacts in the bottom right of the image

The second one is part of Cassiopea and a little M31 (EOS 6D - Canon 50 F1.4 USM - F5,6 E3,2s I1600 - 32 Lights, 15 Darks and 15 Bias)

Cassiopea St lpc cbg St

Strange artefacts at the top of the image and strange lines from left to bottom right

All were elaborated only with APP and I really appreciate if someone would like to redo the elaboration (while I'm used with Affinity Photo I'm not used at all with the post processing tools of APP ...)

Here are the links to the stacked images:

as soon as I can I'll share also the stacked image for M31

Maybe this evening let's try M31 with a 200mm lens ... which means about 1s per shoot ... maybe something will be visible 🙂

Best,

L.

Hi L.

The top one is, I think, just some gradient in the data. The second looks to be a data issue. I'll try to download (Dropbox doesn't work great here usually) and have a look.

Ok, had a look at your dropbox file (was only 1), I see the weird artefact there. That's in the data, so it must be something like possible light leakage or reflection etc.

Ciao Vincent,

thanks, i'll check all the files one by one; yep only one file, internet connectivity it's too slow from here (the fits after integration).

This one is cropped and a little bit elaborated (maybe too stretched).

Best,
