This is the first chance I have had to process an image with APP as it has been permacloud in the UK for months. Captured using ED80 and Canon 750d on the 12th November.

28 lights of 300 secs at 1600iso.

Great image Peter 😉 !

There is some very nice detail in the galaxy and nice colors as well.

Were the cores of M31 and the satellite galaxies saturated in the individual images ? If so, adding some images to the integration with shorter exposures (60 or 120 seconds) could reveal more in the core I think ;-), but already very nice.

Cheers,

Mabula

Thank you Mabula

Yes they were. Because of the weather I did not have the chance to do any short exposures as well although I had intended to do so. I lost a lot of subs due to high winds.

Hi Peter,

Okay, that's too bad, hopefully, you will still have a shot at a couple of exposures 😉 otherwise, you might collect a few next year to improve this results 😉

Still very nice result though!

(I always save my calibrated frames, so I can easily use them when I add data to an older project..)

The weather has been terrible as well over here in the Netherlands ;-( hopefully the winter and spring will be better. In my experience, autumn is always the worst period, too much moisture over here..
