Could someone please refresh my memory as to the significance of a “--rm” suffix applied to calibration master file?

For example, I’ll get a file called ‘MF-IG_0.0-E_5.199999s-ZWO_ASI183MC_Pro-5496x3672-.fits’ followed by a smaller one called ‘MF-IG_0.0-E_5.199999s-ZWO_ASI183MC_Pro-5496x3672--rm.fits’. Which one to use?

Tks!

Dear Gilles @museceleste,

The -rm file is the rejection map for outlier rejection, so the correct master is the one without -rm. the -RM file will be of incorrect datatype as well (8bits versus 16/32bits for the actual master).

Many tks, Mabula!
It make sense as I had asked for 'rejection map' in 2) Calibrate 😉
