Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
My renter's license is still valid until February- if I grab the Black Friday opportunity to renew my renter's licence now will I lose the remaining 2 months of my current renter's license? Does the Black Friday offer mean the license starts from the date of payment or does it start when the current license has expired?
Hi @centaurus,
Thank you very much for your question.
If you renew your Renter's license now, you need to make sure that before ordering that you login with the same user account as the one that you used to order the previous Renter's license. In that case, the name and email address will be the same on your new Renter's license and the system will simply add 365 days to your current Renter's license expiry date. So you will not lose the remaining 2 months of the current license. So yes, the new license will start when the current expires in that sense ;-).
Or put it differently, if you were to buy 2 renter's licenses on the same day without having a prior one, the expiry date will actually buy in 2x365 = 730 days.
Please let me know if all is clear and if this answers your question completely.
