video tutorial of nearly 1 hour on how to use APP's automatic Multi-Channel processing feature which includes an extensive explanation about the new data calibration engine as well
a complete R,G,B dataset with calibration frames, courtesy of Diego Colonnello
I would like to know how the above processors managed to get a Colour picture at the end of following Mabula's very good tutorial.
I do not get any sort of image in the display panel after the Combine RGB in section 9 Tools tab. I have managed to get a Black and white image but not a colour image.
The Add data tab seems to work as per the tutorial and after the combine process I am being told that a temporary image is being loaded in the view panel, the process shows the progress of the blue slider across the top of the view panel but no image is shown. No image appears when I try to open the saved image.
Very frustrating when you have spent a lot of time and care following Mabula's tutorial.
Here's my take using APP v1.070 all at default settings.
I just added the RED channel to Luminance too to create LRGB & made a few tweaks in PS
image looks noisy when viewed here, could be some compression issue as I had to save the original .tiff as .jpg to go from 70+mb down to an allowable size for this forum. The actual .jpg look fine with no noise issues at my end though

I am having great success with my version , but was never told about = 0) RGGB force CFA so that took me by surprise on DSLR subs and some CMOS Cams, i was thinking it would pick it up automatically.
maybe its just me. but all is well.
my only concern was when you bring the final stack into PI, the histogram is almost flat out. instead of a nice High peak. will post image later on. other wise good job Mabula.
Perhaps not, but your initial repsonse seems to indicate that you replied to this thread, maybe I am confused now 🙂
Anyway, for DSLRs APP will automatically know that the images need debayering and will now the correct pattern. For Fits frames however, in most cases, you will need the Force Bayer CFA setting, because the relevant metadata usually is lacking as a result of the capture software used.
Cheers,
Mabula

Hi Mabula, Yes I have sorted the problem with a reload of the latest version and all is working fine thanks.
I realise that my effort is not perfect but as with all of these things it is a work in progress sort of thing. I am sure that I will revisit the data when I have had a lot more practice and produce a better/different version.
Many Thanks Mabula for a very good product.
Regards Lawrence.
