Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Hi there, I have used APP for years now and  came across a problem I never encountered before. I haven't changed any settings ( I use the default ones) but it seems that the registration process is failing. The master files are blurry, you see that the frames aren't correctly stacked. Strangely it's a very recent problem I came across when reprocessing old data ( with the matching calibration master frames). I tried stacking R,G,B separately after splitting the RGB channels but still the same. The single calibrated frames are ok, checked one by one. I can't recall whether I dithered but I suppose so. Have you any idea what could go wrong?

Cheers, Centaurus

Could you try the previous APP version, beta 38, and if the issue goes away then it’s to do with the new updated registration engine in the latest update causing the issue

I used the beta 28 release - the same one I used appr one week ago successfully processing a different object. It just hits me by surprise as I haven't updated or changed some setting.

Addendum: the problem arises with all data I try to stack, even the ones that were successfully stacked  a short time ago.
