Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
I have a fairly noisy image of the horse head nebula and went into the star reducer and only selected to reduce the size. No matter the value I get this error. I'm guessing it's because this is a lower quality file but maybe there's something else?

@Mabula-Admin it's uploading now. This is a different file from the one I originally encountered the problem as I thought maybe a different processing would give a different result. It will demonstrate the same problem. No rush certainly on my account. I'm still very much a learner here and have plenty of time to work on other things for a while. 🙂
Can you please indicate what settings you are using in the Star Reducer Tool, because everything is working here as expected. We are getting no errors.
The noise is absolutely no problem as well.
Maybe you run out of memory? Did you increase APP's memory consumption with the CFG button so it can use more memory?
Memory is set for 10GB and the only change I had was setting star size to 70%. I wouldn’t think it matters but I am using a 16GB Mac M1 Mini with Monterey 12.1.

Can you try again to see if the error always occurs on that image? And then can you share the console output at the moment of the crash? That will really help me to determine where the error occurs 😉
Can you please upload the file on which it happens and share the console output (the output in the second window ;-)) so I can better locate the error ?

I would, were it not for the fact that the login rejects my user name and password. They are exactly the same as those I successfully use to sign in to the forum!
