Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi,
I posted last night after a crash while running a two session, multi-channel integration.  I re-ran the integration tonight without the Bias frames on the basis that I think I read somewhere that Bias is included in Dark Flats and since I had DF's I didn't need Bias. Regardless of whether I got this right the integration completed - I had opted to "Integrate per Channel and All" for Mulit-Session and Mulit-Channels
 Details are :
- Session 1 is straight RGB - 1x1 @300sec.
- Session 2 is LRGB with LÂ 1x1 @900sec and RGB at 2x2 @300sec.
For calibration I have
- Flats and Dark Flats for each set of lights
- Darks for 1x1 and 2x2
Â
Most of the integrations look ok, although the Session 1 "All" has a meteor running though it which I guess probably needs rerunning with some tweaks.
The "Weirdness" is that the Green Session 2 Integration is completely black with odd borders. I viewed all of the loaded Lights individually and they looked fine, also checked the folders were correct and the metadata looks ok. Both Sessions integrate without problems when run as single sessions.
Some screen shots attached.
EDIT. I reran the process without multiband blending and it worked fine producing all expected integrations. I cant say for sure this was the issue but may help narrow it down. If I get time I will try and run it again with the multiband blending and see if it fails again.
Apologies, I posted this in the wrong section but don't seem to be able to move it.

Thank you for sharing this is issue. I have not seen this myself yet, but apparently this happens in in the multi-channel and session dual mode. I will perform testing to see if I can isolate this issue.
