Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

In version 2.0.0.-beta20 you introduced the feature that the settings are saved. I would prefer to save the settings in presets, because i always do two sessions parallel, one for mosaic and one for a single image with two completely different setups (osc widefield and mono with more focal length). I have to do more changes on every start now, because the settings are saved.

Hi Walter @walsc,

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Yes, we will provide presets for the settings and this will be part of the next upcoming feature to save/load projects including you settings. So then you can make a preset yourself, like an empty mosaic project preset 🙂 to load when you start a new mosaic. That should defintitely make things easier and faster.

@walsc Just to add to this, you can reset the saved settings in the cfg menu, so that will get you back to standard settings in 1 go.

I would also like to give this idea a vote up!

It is quite painful to change all of the different settings when I switch from single panel stack to mosaic stack. It costs time and there is always the risk that I missed a setting. For longer projects, there is the risk that I did some settings differently.

Therefore, I started to write long lists with my different settings for different stacking purposes. A simple option to export and import all of my settings into a config file would make the daily use of APP dramatically easier.

Thank you @mabula-admin for following up with those requests and improving this wonderful tool even further.

-Patrick
