I click to launch the program, and nothing happens.  I check processes list and I see it running, but I never get a response from the app.

Hi @cflory,

Welcome to the APP forum 😉

I have checked our logs and I can see that you were able to activate your Trial license.

What happens if you kill the application and restart it, does the same happen? So the application starts but nothing is shown on your screen?

Have you you checked if any security software on your computer is doing something that might prevent APP from starting normally?

Kind regards,

Mabula

If I kill the process and restart, it does the same thing.  That's correct, the process starts, but nothing shows on the screen.

Per your suggestion, I disabled my AV/Security and it launched right away.  So, for some reason the application is offensive to the security software, but not enough to have it prompt me to add it to a whitelist.

Thanks for the help.  At least I have a way to get around the problem of launching the application.

Hi @cflory,

Okay, I am glad that we know now why the application was blocked.

Av/Security really should not block APP on Windows, our application is digitally signed with a trusted certificate which indicates legitimate and safe software from a thrustworthy company.

I know that some freeware anti-malware software packages also block APP, which points to the makers of those software that they don't know security protocols on Windows I think.. and also places questions marks on their software as well.

To get the digital certificate to sign our software, our company, me, and our software was screened by a Global security company called GlobalSign.. 😉 . And we did this to prevent problems like this ;-(

GlobalSign security Certificate
GlobalSign security certificate Issuer

Kind regards,

Mabula
