I have an ASI294MC Pro OSC and mainly use the Optolong L_Extreme for my shots and then extract Ha, OIII and mono files to use combine RGB. I then save a copy with stars and then remove stars and add them back in photoshop. I would like to process both L_Extreme data and unfiltered or L_Pro data together so that they have the same stack, but must be combined using the RGB combine Tool. For an example, I would like to capture the Horsehead nebula and have the HA data from the L_extreme, but the Flame nebula and blue regions would be unfiltered to stand out better and keep original colors. I would also use the unfiltered stars to add back in. What settings do I need to change to keep the multi-filter images separate, yet aligned and which RGB combine formula would be best for this process?
@minroadkill I moved your topic from General to Tutorials & Workflows. And there already is a sticky topic that explains how to do this. See
@wvreeven I was aware of the tutorial, but it is outdated and does not list the required steps to get an acceptable image in the newer version of APP. I have tried multiple formulas in combine RGB and cannot achieve the desired result.
