Good afternoon, I'm sorry if the question is stupid. But I received data from Eta Carina on HSO from Telescope Live (in confinement I got this alternative 😊 ). I've been watching tutorials on youtube, but so far only with OSC cameras. I wanted to try working with mono camera data, although I only have a Canon 600da. I have 600s (2 x 300 ") of each filter already pre-calibrated that is, without darks, flats and bias. I would like to try SHO and HOO processing. Is it possible to do it in the APP? Tips or help, thank you in advance.

It is yes, you basically want all data in mono. If you have RGB data you want to split that up in R, G, B channels first by working with the "split channels" option in tab 2. If everything is mono, you can clear the data in APP (or restart) and load in each set of data and assign it to the right filter. When done, you can integrate them all at once and have registered integrations for each channel. These integrations you can clean up with the tools in tab 9 (most used is the Light Pollution tool to get rid of gradients), those integrations can then be loaded into the RGBCombine tool, also in tab 9. Here you can select presets like what you're looking for and play around with the mixing of channels.

I'd suggest to experiment with this and when you have some trouble somewhere, we're here to assist!

ps. We don't consider any question stupid btw. 😉

Thank you very much for the reply, and I apologize for the delay in the reply. But I had a personal problem, and I didn't have a head for the rest, even doing post processing. This week I will follow the tips and try to do my best. Since I also want to do the post-processing of the Soul Nebula that I did with my setup (from my balcony in Bortle 8 in the city of Faro, Portugal) and the Canon 600d and my new filter (at least for me) Optolong filter L-eNhance.

Absolutely no need to apologize, hope you are well and I hope the steps work next time around. Just let us know if they don't. 🙂
