Hi all,

I'm new to APP, and I shoot with a DSLR (Pentax K-1) and SBIG STF-8300C  Both one shot color cameras.

I'm looking for some tutorials on how to process the shots from these. I know that I have to convert my DSLR RAWS to FITS and I've got that handled. What happens after that is where I'm confused. the once video tutorial about DSLR is for an older version 1.054 and I've got the latest which appears to have been significantly revamped with the ability to create the master calibration frames.

A written tutorial is also good if there's any of those for OSC processing.

Hi Craig, at the moment there is no written manual yet. Mabula is working on one which I expect in a few months.

ps. not sure but the raw frames are not recognized by APP?

@vincent-mod

Thanks for the info. I was hoping for a video tutorial or web page that shows the newer version. But I'll muddle through and keep working at it.

And, no, as of now APP does not handle Pentax .PEF files (native RAW) or .DNG (another RAW option that I use). Both are coming in a future version from what I've read. But I hope .DNG comes quickly.

Can't tell for sure if DNG is supported in the next version, but it will be a rather big update so fingers crossed. The video's are indeed outdated by now, but should get you going nonetheless. If not, let me know here and I'll try to help you.
