15th Feb 2024: Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0-beta29 released - macOS native File Chooser, macOS CMD-Q fixed, read-only Fits on network fixed and other bug fixes
7th December 2023: added payment option Alipay to purchase Astro Pixel Processor from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and other countries where Alipay is used.
Shot the Cygnus loop with an ASI294MC Pro. 30 x 180 second subs in Oiii, Ha, Sii
ALL my subs contain images. I used Darks only at this point.
The Oiii processed just fine, providing a nice stacked image.
Started a new session with the Ha files and the stack ended up blank. Same thing happened with the Sii files.
Shut down APP and restarted and I get the same problem. The stacked integration in blank.
I have tried this a 3 separate integrations, and as one multichannel and I get the same results.
Any suggestions? Not sure what I could have ticked on/off.
Not sure, I'd have to look at the data in this case.
Please upload some of the relevant subs to our server;
Go to https://upload.astropixelprocessor.com and use upload1 as username and upload1 as password.
Create a directory named “bobw55-integrationissue” and upload in there. Thank you!
Done.....
Uploaded 3 of each sub(light) and the 3 final processed sets.
I'll download them shortly and will come back to it.
Ok, getting to it, could you point out to me which ones are Ha, OIII and SII? Thanks. 🙂 I think 2 = OIII, 3 = Ha, 4 = SII?
Anyway, I had no issues with what you send to me;
OIII;
Ha;
What I did do was, after OIII I cleared the data (tab 1, clear at the bottom) and changed the mosaic algorithm to "extract Ha" for the Ha data.
Sorry
the number just before GAIN is the filter # used.
2= OIII
3= H-Alpha
4= S-II
I should point out I was most recently playing with Drizzle settings to learn their affects.
Not sure if I have something set wrong there.
I didn't use drizzling here, just the standard settings. Could you try that first just to confirm it's working?
"IF" under tab 0, I set it to use:
Pattern= RGGB
Algorithm = What ever filter I used
and add in my darks, it does process, but I get a black and white image.
if Algorithm = Adaptive Airy Disc
Only the OIII will process and gives me a green image
the HA and SII give me the blanks I would expect red and green images from them to combine later
I had the pattern at "supported". All standard. Very strange this issue as with adaptive airy disc, I could also load the images and view them. Are you using APP 1.082 or later (just to be sure it's not old)?
Version 1.083
Will try again and leave things set at Supported and Airy disc
I don't get it. the OIII processes just fine.
Very strange indeed, could you show me some screenshots of your settings in the tabs and of the right of the APP window with all stretch settings?
Let me know if you need more.
Looks like the histogram is indeed empty as the stretch values are just way too low. I'm really a bit struggling to understand this.
What happens when you click the green "GL4" button?
So I turned it off.
Processed a set withOUT darks. and It Gave me a stacked colored Image.
Reloaded my lights and darks this time, ran it again with GL4 OFF
gave me the same gray image. Beginning to wonder if it could be my computer.
So not using darks gave a good result? If you switch on GL4 again and integrate without darks does that also work?
I didn't use any calibration data on your images as you didn't provide those and that worked. So it may be that there is an issue with your calibration data specifically then.
It only worked that one time.
Tried the same set again and it failed. {GL4 OFF)
Tried the other 2 with out darks and only the OIII would process.
Going to load APP on another computer and see what happens
Really sorry I can't help here, I have no issues with the same data so I'd also almost assume something is up at your machine. Do keep me updated with your test, would be good to know.
Tried it on another machine. same issues
Sooo weird. I'll ask Mabula to have a look at the data as well. Please upload the master dark and bias as well to the same directory so we can get a better picture.
Uploaded the master dark that APP produced, and the BPM from APP and 3 of the 21 darks I used.
Excellent, thank you! We'll have a closer look tomorrow.
