15th Feb 2024: Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0-beta29 released - macOS native File Chooser, macOS CMD-Q fixed, read-only Fits on network fixed and other bug fixes
7th December 2023: added payment option Alipay to purchase Astro Pixel Processor from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and other countries where Alipay is used.
I re-stacked the 72 panel stacks using LNC and MBB, but can not get rid of the "checkerboard"-effect as seen in attached example. I hope that version 1.061 with LNC 2.0 will take care of this, but when will that be?
Dear @kees_scherer,
I am about to release APP 1.060:
After it's release, I'll work on LNC 2.0 😉 for the 1.061 release. It's hard to tell when it will be released, since a new LNC version should take some time to implement. It's a very complicated algorithm already.
The checkerboard pattern only seems to manifest on some datasets and I think it has to do with a combination of
- ligh pollution gradients (which are still there in even 3nm H-alpha exposures)
- the amount of overlaps between the frames
- the current implementation of LNC isn't adaptive on the widht/height of the frame overlap areas which it probably should be
Kind regards,
Mabula
I was hoping that mono data (multiple filters) could be processed together at same time with the 1.060 release.
Is this included in this version?
Too much work to calibrate and align 4-7 filters separately for me.

Hi Max @titansmoonsyahoo-com ,
Yes, APP 1.060 will have multi-channel and mutli-session support for fully automatic integrations of all channels and/or sessions with matching calibration masters. It will be released within a couple of days now...
Mabula
Thanks
Max
Hi Max @titansmoonsyahoo-com,
APP 1.061 has been released with the requested multi-channel and mutli-session support 😉
Mabula
Now that APP 1.068 is released and LNC 2.0 would be implemented in 1.061 but still is not? Or did i miss something?
Nope, it is indeed delayed, but kind of on top of the list at the moment. ETA only Mabula knows.
I see in the Astro Imaging Channel Presentation that LNC 2.0 development has a priority status. Any news to report?
Let's give a status summary for this thread:
May 12, 2018: "After it's release, I'll work on LNC 2.0 for the 1.061 release". Meanwhile we have 1.061, 1.062, 10.63, 1.064, 1.065, 1.066, 1.067, 1.068, 1.069 and 1.070 and no LNC 2.0 was implemented. Also no statement on the status other than the presentation for the Astro Imaging channel stating LNC 2.0 has a priority status.
