In my integrated image of the horsehead nebula, I notice steps pattern on the right side (attached).
The integration included two sessions (60s and 120s).
A meridian flip was done during the 120s session.
I suspect the the pattern is somehow related to a problem in normalization.
Help with the issue will be much appreciated.

Mmm, I guess so, but the image doesn't look right either. It shouldn't be so dark nor over-saturated. Was this done to show the stepping? Could you describe what you do for calibration, your procedure, software used etc?
Sorry. the image was processed to highlight the stepping.
now I see that the stepping happened when I rotated the image in APP.
I attach the non-processed image and the rotated one.
Oh interesting, I'll ask Mabula if that would make sense, thanks for showing!
