Stacking photos with different rotation.
Hi there !
I have photos which are some horizontally and some vertical. While tracking object with tracker, it was such an vertical angle of camera, so some photos are now horizontally and some vertical, also darks.
I have more than 2 hours of material , taken over 3 nights and all are mixed, like i mentioned before.
Is there any option , way in APP to check or do I have to rotate those vertical ones one by one in other photo editing program ?
I have tried some suggestions in APP, while there was an error with registration those photos.
@schmety What version do you mean? 1.082 (latest stable version) or 1.083-beta2 (latest beta version)?
@schmety There is an issue with registration in 1.083-beta2 so please try with 1.083-beta1. Mabula is working on a fix for the registration issue.
I had this issue years ago when I was still using a DSLR. It's doubtful the issue is caused by APP, but by a setting in your DSLR, if that is what you are using.. I believe I had to disable [Auto Rotate] within the DSLR settings and all images were of the same orientation after.
Thanks, will check this setting in my camera ! I have mirrorless camera.
With version 1.083-beta 1, I was able to register and stack photos with success.
Unless you have severe vignetting, APP should still be able to align the images and produce a good result (use version 1.083-beta1 as already suggested). I ran into the same problem with a DSLR myself. Lights weren't an issue, but my flats suffered from random rotation and APP wasn't able to align those properly. I turned off auto-rotate in camera settings and I've never had a problem since.
