Hi,

I have prepared the setup which is both working at 500mm and "looking" at the same object. One telescope is equipped with Nikon D5100 OSC camera, and the second one is equipped with the debayerized (mono) Nikon D5100.

The OSC DSLR will always acquire RGB frames and the mono one will be equipped with narrowband filters or the luminance filter.

The question is - is it possible to properly integrate the frames during one process in APP?

The thing is that when I process the OSC data, I am choosing the default AAD demosaic algorithm and with the debayerized DSLR I have to choose no interpolation method. Can you tell me if there is possibility to set the metod for the frames set in one stacking process?

How shall I proceed to get the satisfactory results in any way?

Additionally - when combining OSC and narrowband data, shall I split channels for some reason or shall I use combine RGB using the output RGB stack?

Thank you and best regards.

So yes, for combining single channel (narrowband) data with 3-channel (RGB) data, you need to make the RGB data single channel. You do this by calibrating your RGB data and processing that in the normal way, then loading in the result again and going to tab 2, where you select "split channels" all the way down.

You process your narrowband data as well and then you should have integrated narrowband data and R, G and B frames. Restart APP, load all those in again and properly assign them. Then you go to register and normalize your data, in tab 5, you select to "save normalized frames". Now these then will be the frames you can combine in the "combine RGB" tool in tab 9.

We do want to make this process easier. 🙂

Is this still the correct method.

I went to calibration and did split channels and now I have FITS for Red Blue and Green.

So when I get my Ha data, I should load all the data like I would do normal RGBHa data and then go till the normalize step?

Yes, you can load those in again as narrowband lights and normalize them to each other, save the normalized frames and then combine in RGBCombine.
