Hello

since one of the last updates (> 1.076) an error message (see attachment)  appears at the end if the integration process. This happens when I have multiple channels and sessions to integrate and maybe +150 files in total. In case the error occurs only a part of the integration files are loaded into the file list after the integration. The missing files can be found in the working folder. But they can not be loaded, the same error message appears when I try to load them. To see and work with all of the integration files I have to close and open APP again. This is totally annoying because I always have only one shot for each integration session and have to do all the star analysis and regristrations once more each time I want to vary the integration parameters.

There is enough space on the disk and in the memory. I use APP since version 1.0 and in the earlier versions there were no such problems.

Any idea what is wrong?

Thanks in advance

Peter

@pete_xl Hi Peter, sorry to see you have troubles with APP. What version of APP are you on? Does the error always happen when loading the same file or does it vary? Does it happen is you only load a sub-set of the files?

@wvreevenHi Wouter, currently I have #1.080 running. It happens also with the more recent versions but did not occur with #1.076 if I remember right. The error happens when I stack a higher number of lights from different filters and sessions. For example LRGB with 40 lights each from 2 sessions which is 320 lights.

@pete_xl Do you combine mono and color data in your stacks?

@pete_xl If you put a space after my username, I receive an email when you mention me 😉

What kind of data are you stacking? L, R, G, B, small band? All of those or only part? Does the error happen if you only stack the data of one filter?

@wvreeven Sorry for the missing space 😉 . I always have at least 3 channels (RGB) but mostly 4 to 5, because I often combine narrowband data with LRGB. I do not know if it happens with only one filter in the stack but i think it might not.

So is this a problem that is not so common? The strange thing is that I use APP from its beginning on the same machine and that I had not problems until the end of the last year. Maybe I test a bit more and come back to you when I can confine/enclose the problem a bit better.

@pete_xl It certainly is not a common problem and this will require some careful inspection of the files to understand what the problem may be.

If you want, you can upload the files to our file server so we can help you investigate this. If you do, upload the files to a directory called pete_xl_exception on

https://upload.astropixelprocessor.com/

using upload2 for both username and password and let us know when the files are there. Then we will have a look.
