Hi! A question: My renter's license will expire on the 11 of this month. Is there some benefit of waiting until the expiration of the license before buying a new one, or if I buy a new renter's license today, this will automatically extend my renter's license?

Thank you

I don't think there is a benefit, I asked Mabula if a renewal right now simply extends the current rental period by a year (I think it does, but I'm not sure). Will get back to you on that.

So I made in the between time the purchase, it didn't considered it as an upgrade ... It just took today's date and added 1 year. So I loose 1 week of license. Maybe something to look into? If somebody has a renter's license it should add 1 year to the expiration date of current license and not the current date ...

Yes, Mabula just informed me he should change the way that works. So you can drop him an e-mail and he'll happily add that week to it. mabula@astropixelprocessor.com

I've a similar issue too.

Upgraded from trial, with a few days left on my license to rental and the remainder of my trial has disappeared.

Is that supposed to happen?

Dear Kevin @infinite_wisdom,

I am not sure what you mean here, I have just checked, when your Trial was issued, the expiration date was 2019-12-23.

And it still is according to our database. So the expiration date has not changed of your Trial license.

Do you mean that you assumed that the remaining days on your Trial would be added to the 1 year of the Renter purchase perhaps?

Kind regards,

Mabula

Hi Kevin @infinite_wisdom,

Okay then, yes, I think it's a fair proposition. The Trial is 100% the same, in regard to functionality, to the commercial licenses with the only difference that the commercial licenses can work offline. I will make the appropriate changes in our license server 😉

I have adjusted your Renter's license expiration date, you should get a confirmation of this soon...

Kind regards,

Mabula
