This is a picture of the Rosette Nebula, NGC 2446, taken with a Meade 70mm Astrograph Quadruplet APO Refractor and a ZWO ASI1600MC Cool camera. APP processed 110 three-minute subs with darks, flats, a bad pixel map and was able to stack 105 of the subs for this image, integrating 315 minutes.

I have a tremor that precludes me from clicking on stars reliably enough to align images and have not been able to merge images from different nights. Now that APP can do that, I’m reprocessing some of my old files too. I like this program.

Hi JandaC,

That's a very nice Rosette in RGB color.

105 frames integrated out of 110 frames, were those 5 frames out of focus or did they have bad guiding or a possible other problem?

Did you try integrating with star shape weights in 6) ? Maybe it will increase sharpness in the final integration.

Thank you for sharing 😉
