Hello: It is the result of reprocessing this image with APP.
I still do not control many of the options of the program but I have noticed an improvement of results comparing with the software that I have been using so far.
Surely it can be improved and I would appreciate the suggestions.

Hi @carlesa25,

Thank you for sharing your Andromeda galaxy,

You have captured lots of signal, so that's great to start with.

Can you share the imaging details, like telescope, camera and integration times?

I think we should be able to improve the colors especially. Did you stretch the data in APP or in another application?

If in APP, did you enable saturation?

Have you applied the tool in 9) from light pollution correction to star color calibration?

If working in those tools, it really helps to temporarily increase saturation big time and lower the SAT TH slider to saturate the sky background as well. That will help big time in further correcting the data and results 😉

Kind regards,

Mabula

Hello: Thanks for the reply, I am practicing and I still do not master all APP controls, I take note of your suggestions and I will try to apply them.

"I think we should be able to improve the colors especially. Did you stretch the data in APP or in another application?" Yes Photoshop.

"If in APP, did you enable saturation? " Yes

"Have you applied the tool in 9) from light pollution correction to star color calibration? "  yes.

I find it difficult to work with the controls of the HSL selective color tool, its movements are very delicate and difficult to adjust with precision.

The image is taken with a Visionking Refractor of 90mm f / 5.5 and are 32 shots of 180 sec + 12x300 sec + 10x60 sec + filter Optolong UHC 2 " + Canon 1100D Modified.   Greetings

@carlesa25,

So did you do a pre-stretch in APP and then finished stretching in PS?

The HSL selective Color tool will be improved greatly in the upcoming APP version 1.057. I'll release it within a couple of days.

Thank you for the information 😉

Kind regards,

Mabula
