Hi everybody,

I'd also like to share another photo I took on last Sunday 19th 150 Km away from Buenos Aires city.
It's important to me the experts opinions, flaws, improvements and tips.
The output was modified with Adobe Lightroom, to improve contrast, color balance and a little crop.

Equipment: Star Adventurer - Canon 6D - Lente Canon EF 50mm f/1,4 USM
Data: 16 lights - f/4 - 300s - ISO 1600 - 4000K - 16 darks - 24 flats

Kind regards,

Daniel

Hi Daniel @danr19,

This is a great ares of the sky to image 😉 It looks great already.

Some pointers that can help in improving this I think are:

- try to prevent clipping of the black values, I suspect the black value is a bit too high now. The black areas in the milkyway seem to be clipped totally black without any information left.

- perhaps try the new Star Color Calibration in APP 1.059, the routine has improved in the latest version. Before running the tool, you need to have run either the remove light pollution tool or the calibrate background tool.

- the HL slider can possibly used in stretching to reduce the overall star size (or using a tool in Lightroom)

Cheers,

Mabula

Hi Mabula,

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Yesterday, I installed APP 1.059. I was playing with sliders to rescue more info from the black areas.
But I'm still not satisfied with the final image. I'm still learning APP. When I get a better image, I"ll let you know.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hello,
A new version. Far from perfect, but better than the first one, I think.

Hi Mabula,

Thank you for your help! I'm going to reprocess old stuff, mainly processed with DSS.

Cheers,

Daniel
