Astrobin IOTD for this 10 panel Mosaic made with AstroPixelProcessor. with 0.06 pixel registration accuracy on fully automatic (!) with only the registration mode set to "mosaic" and integration "full". APP asks 3 questions in pop-up boxes and beginners can just go with the default options.

(Each panel was stacked/ calibrated before the mosaic step with Bias, Darks, flats and BPM)

Thanks for sharing this amazing result Kees! Well deserved Image Of The Day I would say. Great to see APP working so well for data like this.

Hi Kees @kees_scherer,

That is an amazing image ! Well deserved IOTD 🙂 congratulations !

Were you shooting subs for all 6 panels each night that the sky allowed?

1255x5min = a lot, great work 😉

Thanks Mabula,  all 10 panels you mean? No i mostly shot data for 1 panel at a time, sometimes for 2 panels a night.

The plan is to expand much further, there is not much high(er) resolution IFN data presented as a mosaic, so i think it could be an ideal contribution to the astro community.

😉 excellent and yes, there is a lot of IFN in a very wide field of view to be captured. It would make a very special image when you can expand this. Great idea.
